I'm a CS and Linguistics double major at Berkeley, focused on NLP and ML. I've worked on SightLine, a ML Day-Recap App using Meta Ray-Ban Glasses, website development for Xaitsnoo, a critically endangered language, and contributed to Japanese–English translation research through Berkeley's URAP. This semester, I joined Geopogo as an AI training researcher and started speech-perception research at BAIR.

A digital community dictionary for Xaitsnoo, a critically endangered language. Built with Next.js and deployed to Vercel as part of a URAP research engagement. Infrastructure for corpus documentation and an NLP pipeline.

SightLine

Contributed to a 15-member team building an end-to-end ML pipeline that ingests video from Meta Ray-Ban glasses and generates a 60-second daily highlight recap. Built a Python NLP module using transformer-based models to extract semantic context from audio transcripts.

Software Engineer

Build the geospatial pipeline for CloudTCP.ai (Traffic Patterns LLC), an automated traffic-control-plan platform, on a 15-engineer client-project team delivered through Berkeley's Open Project. Apply computer-vision techniques to aerial and street-level imagery and OpenStreetMap data to detect road features that feed automated traffic-control-plan generation.

LRAP Research Assistant — Xaitsnoo

Completed audio transcriptions and phonology work on linguistic databases. Wrote Python scripts to scrape and organize linguistic data into a dictionary. Used React and Ariakit to build the front-end of a culturally accurate linguistic database for the Xaitsnoo language.

URAP Research Assistant — Japanese–English Translation

Built a Python script automating Japanese-to-English translation of primary literary sources for a faculty-led Comparative Literature project. Cross-referenced translations against the original Japanese texts to flag nuance, idiom, and cultural-context errors, iteratively refining the workflow for a larger research corpus.

Linguistic Project Manager

Interviewed Nüshu inheritors on history, cultural attitudes, and contemporary developments. Attended classes and spoke with students and authors working to modernize the script. Proposed a future action plan to locals and inheritors, and wrote a research article on Nüshu's sociolinguistic evolution — published on Sina.

Conducted interviews with small business owners in Shanxi to investigate challenges in revenue, competition, and capital costs. Distributed outreach materials about Grameen Bank's loan services. DPD (Digital Painting Decal)

I joined the Digital Painting Decal on campus during my freshman spring, and it was one of the best experiences I ever had. Not only did I meet my current girlfriend there, but I also had the chance to make this as my final project! I had a lot of fun learning how to draw.

This was my first rendition of my D&D OC, Mafu (Along with my other party members, Teotl and Nox), who later became the inspiration for the game Debate Club from Hell. I was pretty proud of this.
